Press release: Official launch of cross-border QR code payment between Cambodia and Singapore
On 12 November 2025, the National Bank of Cambodia issued a press release on the official launch of cross-border QR code payment between Cambodia and Singapore. The launch enables Cambodian people who hold bank accounts in national currency, Khmer Riel, to make payments conveniently, quickly and securely when visiting Singapore by using the Bakong app or other mobile banking applications to scan RoamQR codes available at SGQR merchants across Singapore.
